The Multiplier Effect

Sep 28, 2026

A Word from Mitchell - The Multiplier Effect

If there is one lesson this quarter continues to underscore, it is this; meaningful growth is rarely the result of one action, one team, or one idea. It is created when individual contributions are combined, capabilities are strengthened, and collective efforts are aligned towards a shared purpose. At Interswitch, we see this as the Multiplier Effect, the interconnected input that results in powerful outcomes when merged with broader efforts. For us, the Multiplier Effect reflects our belief that scaling is not the responsibility of one business unit or leadership team. It is the cumulative outcome of consistent excellence across every function, every business, and every team. It is also reflected in the role we continue to play beyond our immediate customers, as our platforms, partnerships and innovations create value across industries and contribute to Africa’s wider digital and economic transformation. This quarter, we continued to see this effect take shape across our business and the ecosystems we serve. At the AfCFTA Digital Trade Forum, we reinforced the importance of interoperable payment systems, digital identity and trusted digital infrastructure in unlocking seamless cross-border commerce and inclusive growth across Africa. Through initiatives such as CORE by Interswitch, we are equally strengthening the operational foundations of the financial services ecosystem, enabling institutions to collaborate more effectively and deliver secure, seamless and scalable experiences. Our participation at the upcoming 2026 Moonshot by Techcabal conference, themed “Courage & Conviction, Building for a New World” will further reflect our commitment to contributing to the conversations shaping Africa’s technology ecosystem. Beyond our platforms and partnerships, we continue to recognise the power of investing in people and communities. The ongoing 8th edition of InterswitchSPAK equally reflects this position. Earlier in the year, the nationwide competition recorded over 21,700 registrations and has culminated in the emergence of the top 81 students who will vie for the enviable prize pool of N40m+ representing another step in our commitment to identifying and nurturing the next generation of STEM talent. Similarly, VerveLife 9.0 has commenced its journey pan-Nigeria with several exciting stops to be made in Ikorodu, Enugu, Ibadan, Uyo and UNILAG in the build up to the grand finale in November, thereby leveraging fitness, wellness, community and shared experiences to bring people together. Each initiative may begin with an individual or a single idea, but its impact grows when more people participate, contribute and become part of the journey. At the heart of our systems and structure, the multiplier effect is equally visible in global recognitions we receive such as. Interswitch's inclusion among CNBC and Statista's World's Top Fintech Companies for the second consecutive year, an external validation of the depth of talent, leadership and collective capability within the organisation. Our unflinching position in advancing financial inclusion also continues to remind us that our impact is closely connected to the strength of the ecosystems around us. From advocating for greater investment in the infrastructure required to support digital and financial inclusion, to enabling solutions that connect businesses, institutions and consumers, we continue to see the power of technology when it is applied collaboratively to solve real challenges everyday.Looking ahead, our opportunity is to make this collective strength count for even more. This means continuing to collaborate across functions and markets, sharing knowledge, building capabilities and challenging ourselves to find better ways to create value. Because when individual excellence is aligned with collective purpose, the result is greater than the sum of its parts. One idea can create an opportunity. One team can turn it into a solution. But when we all move in the same direction, we create impact that multiplies. This is the power of The Multiplier Effect. And together, we will Never Stop.
