Reset: Evolving with Purpose

A Word from Mitchell - Reset: Evolving with Purpose
As we close out the first quarter of our ongoing financial year, one thing resonates: the future must be intentionally designed and built. Across industries, markets, and communities, expectations are changing rapidly. Businesses are being challenged to not only innovate faster but also evolve more meaningfully. At Interswitch, we see this moment not as a disruption but as an opportunity for purposeful reinvention. For us, the theme this quarter, “Reset: Evolving with Purpose", reflects that mindset. It speaks to our deliberate commitment to continuously reassess how we operate as an organisation, how we serve, and how we create long-term value in an increasingly digital and interconnected world. For us, a reset is not about starting over; it is about building forward with greater clarity and intent. True to our resolve, we have continued to deepen our role as a trusted technology partner, enabling growth across critical sectors of the African economy. From convening industry leaders at the Interswitch Retail Business Summit, where we drove conversations around payment innovation and sustainable commerce, to taking significant strides in strengthening Africa’s financial infrastructure through our strategic partnership with Temenos; and combining global banking expertise with deep local market understanding to support the next phase of banking transformation across the continent. Beyond technology and infrastructure, we continued to invest in the ecosystems that shape us. We participated in the Retail Business Transformation Summit organised by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC), where we unveiled our tailored Digital Forecourt suite, an integrated digital retail ecosystem designed to seamlessly connect payments, operations, and customer experiences within modern fuel retail environments.Internally, our evolution remains on the front burner. The launch of the Interswitch Alumni Portal reflects our continued commitment to nurturing lifelong connections within the broader Interswitch community. Furthermore, our induction of the largest-ever cohort of developer interns into the Interswitch Developer Academy, following an overwhelming response that saw over 20,000 applications in 2026, highlights our dedicated focus on empowering young Nigerians to make their mark in the new world of work, while also ensuring a sustainable talent pool for our entire payments industry. We recognise that our impact extends beyond products and platforms; it lives within the people, relationships, and shared experiences that continue to define our journey. Looking onwards to the next quarter and, indeed, the rest of the financial year, we are bound by our single-minded conviction to evolve with purpose, innovate with intention, and execute with excellence. The opportunities ahead are significant, but so too is our responsibility to build solutions and ecosystems that are inclusive, resilient, and future-ready. We’re built for what’s next. The future will Never Stop evolving... and neither will we!
