We have always believed that the African story must be painted with bold, vibrant, colourful, and confident strokes, powered by bright ideas, prosperity, inclusion, and innovation. It also means telling stories not just of dependency, but of empowerment; and not of challenges alone, but of the creativity and determination that continue to reveal Africa as a force progressively influencing the rest of the world.
In the last quarter, Interswitch recorded significant strides across sectors, building on our solid foundation of innovation and excellence. In the quarter under review, we were named by CNBC and Statista as one of the World's Top Fintech Companies 2025, a recognition that reflects Interswitch's deliberate and disciplined approach to building payment infrastructure that meets real economic needs. Across the continent, our reach continues to expand. We were named the access point provider for mandatory e-invoicing for the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) in Nigeria and the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) in Kenya. With this development, Interswitch is now supporting the roll-out of ambitious national e-invoicing network projects across the two countries which, by statistics, rank among the continent’s largest economies.
We also unveiled a new thematic message for the Interswitch Masterbrand, showcasing the humans on the other side of the solutions we create and highlighting the often-unseen role we play in powering everyday life across Africa. From payments and transportation to healthcare, energy, education, and real estate, we are steadily and reliably powering the moments that matter in millions of lives.
As we look ahead, remember that reshaping Africa’s story isn’t limited to rewriting what is but imagining and building what could be. It’s about creating technologies that are inclusive, secure, and adapted to local realities; and about enabling individuals, businesses, large corporates, communities, and governments to participate in and benefit from the digital economy. Additionally, it’s about fostering innovation ecosystems, cross-sector collaboration, and infrastructure scalability that will outlast any single campaign or technology trend.
For us, one major highlight of the upcoming quarter is the 8th edition of VerveLife - Africa’s Biggest Fitness Party, and the flagship event of the VerveLife platform. In its eight years of existence, the Vervelife energy has transcended Nigeria’s borders, stretching into East Africa (Uganda and Kenya) while remaining true to its goal of uniting thousands of Africans through fitness, healthy food, and fun activities. This year’s build-up events will culminate in a remarkable finale at Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria, on Saturday, November 1st, 2025.
