At Interswitch, we believe that developing young talents to become the best in their chosen fields is pivotal to building Africa’s future. We were therefore delighted to have supported the 11th edition of the Cadet and Junior African Fencing Championship, which was held for the second time in Nigeria at the Festival Hotel in Lagos.

With representatives from leading African countries such as Egypt, South Africa, Algeria, Libya Angola, Uganda, Ghana, Niger Republic, and host country, Nigeria the event was a huge success, an indication of, and testament to the endless possibilities Africans can create for Africa when we all collaborate.

We were particularly enthused by the performance of the cadets and we agree with President of the Nigeria Fencing Federation, Adeyinka Samuel, that the championship will go a long way to discover more talents from the grassroots, who will be groomed to compete at the highest level in the sport.
